Charitable questions: introduction

Businesses are doing better this year, so the owners of successful companies expect their income to rise.  This is why talk of ways to reduce tax bills is also a prevailing topic.
Financial questions are not usually discussed, with the exception of your CPAs – it’s their work!  For the client, CPAs are the most connected to financial and tax details.  Clients trust their CPAs and usually need their input about all givings.  Nearly 67% of donors are not able to make a decision regarding charitable donations without their CPA's input.  No one can give better advice about the benefits of donating.  Clients not only welcome the advice, they need it!

Unfortunately, some CPAs do not touch this topic during conversation with clients.  Why?  There may be several possible reasons.  Firstly, they may feel uncomfortable about asking, but one should remember that smart giving can be a great deal for their client and at the same time, it can deepen relations.  Secondly, they may feel poorly educated when asking this question, or it may just not be on the radar.  Finally, it may just be a question of time and schedules.  Nevertheless, this is a truly important statement for CPAs to pay attention to.

In our next article we are going to discuss how it is better to include the charity questions in the dialogue with clients.  So stay with us in the New Year and learn more on this topic!!!

P.S. We wish you a Happy New Year and all the best to our readers!
