The Impact of Social Changes Worldwide

A new survey showing changes in worldwide social mentality was carried out by Walden University.  The worldwide mentality can now be characterized with a phrase “think globally, act locally.”  On average 73% of citizens around the world agree that there is impact on their local social community based on events in other parts of the world.

More than 12,000 adults were interviewed in Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Japan, Mexico, Spain and the United States about their engagement in philanthropy, the importance and future of social changes worldwide, and in their countries.

According to the survey 75% showed a high level of involvement in social changes during last six months; commonly involvement included donating money, goods, or services (41%.)  81% of adults said they think engagement in positive social change is good and important for them personally; they want to be more involved in the future.

Among various social changes and problems, education takes an outstanding position - 37% on average said it is the most important issue.  This attitude varies by country but we can see global tendencies.

Predictions for the future of global changes in social views also vary.  The most influential are, environmental, “green” issues, international conflict, wars and terrorism.

You can create your own charitable fund at Legacy Fund that enables you to think globally and give locally. It is called a Donor Advised Fund.
